Warrington Parish Church – St Elphins & Mere Court – Saturday 1st September 2018
A fantastic day with a lovely couple began at Warrington Parish Church close to the town centre. It’s incredible to think that this was the venue that I filmed my very first Wedding at all the way back in 2006.

The Church looked amazing and as much as other venues look fantastic these days, I just love filming in Churches that have stood for hundreds of years and thinking about the amount of Weddings that have gone before.
With the fantastic Lisa Bancroft on Photgraphy duties ably assisted by Vicky Caunce the day went like a breeze and whenever Lisa is around there is always a smile on someone’s face (Usually the Bride and Groom as she has a fantastic manner which seems to put everyone at ease).
Outside the Church the photographs were interrupted by a traditional Chimney Sweep. Thankfully though, Charlie Brush was part of the day and delighted the guests with his antics and a speech before the Bride and Groom left for their Wedding Breakfast.
The picturesque Mere Court in Knutsford was the scene for the Wedding Breakfast and Evening Reception. It’s always a great venue to film at due to the beautiful gardens and the light conservatory. This was our first visit to Mere Court this year and it was clear to see the venue is thriving under new management. The Staff were incredibly welcoming and everything ran smoothly even though the band were late arriving due to a broken down van, you’d never have known.
The speeches are often an emotional affair and these were no different, with Richard confessing that he’d adored Gemma since their schooldays and paper rounds. Gemma looked gorgeous in her Wedding dress even though by her own admission she’s a bit of a tom boy (you’d never have guessed it!). The guests were so friendly even offering to buy us and the photographers drinks to keep us going through the day.
Our final involvement of the day was to record the First Dance as the new Mr & Mrs Clancy started their new life together to John Legends “All of me”.
It was a pleasure to be part of such a wonderful day for a couple clearly in love and meant to be.
